Tailoring your CV for different jobs
Be aware that you do not need to have just one CV. You can tailor your CV subtly so that it fits each role you apply for, highlighting different qualities that you have.
To do this, alter the emphasis of your personal objective, so that it brings out skills and experience most pertinent to the job you’re applying for. Adjust your key skills list, so that the skills reflect the needs of the job. You may also want to change the order of your key skills or achievements.
There is no rule that says you must only have one CV – we would advise you to have at least two, and maybe as many as five which showcase different aspects of your skills and experience. Many of the job-search web sites will allow you to upload multiple CVs, selecting which to use for different applications.
